Lights on After School in Stonington,CT
The COMOKids After School Program celebrated Lights On with pizza And "Scarecrows & Stories" We have three sites for after school care. Each site made scarecrows for competition. Those in contention were "Bubble Bath Bob" complete with bathtub; "Tom Brady"; "Silly Sally Sprinkler";"Super COMO Kid";"COMO Star Athlete";"Floral Fauna"; "COMO Cool Ghoul". Parents and guests got to vote on their favorite scarecrow with tickets they received when they arrived. More tickets were available at 2/ $1.00 if they wanted to be sure their scarecrow won. Bubble Bath Bob won, hands down! We combined with our public library for the Halloween stories. The children were divided into younger children (not so scary) and older ones ( those over 6 years) for even more fun. The professional story teller, Mary Jo Maichack, was wonderful. We had our biggest turnout ever, and a great evening of food, fellowship, and laughs.
